The fair was organized to instill a spirit of commitment within the employees by adopting some simple yet significant measures towards saving our planet. The high point of the fair was a pledge taking ceremony, led by senior officials of the company, in which the employees reiterated their commitment to do their bit to protect the environment.
As a key highlight of the fair, each employee donated a bottle of water, which in turn was collected and offered to a nearby village Bishunpura in Noida which is facing acute water shortage. Also employees were educated about the right disposal of e-waste. The employees of EXL Service collected the discarded, obsolete and broken electrical and electronics devices such as head sets, phones, fans, computer parts and peripherals and sent it for recycling.
A street play “Aasman gir raha hai” enacted by a group of volunteers from Jamghat, an NGO for and by street and working children, which captured human interventions affecting the environment, was the prime attraction. The event was further embellished with the screening of the movie “Home” which highlighted the threat that humanity poses to the ecological balance of the planet.
