Now, A Mobile Phone Made Of Gold Worth $50,000
Gresso has released its latest handset that is covered in 5.3 ounces of 18K gold. The mobile phone, called the Grand Premiere, is 12 mm thick and the yellow gold on the phone is offset by the black surface of the sapphire screen. The sapphire parts of the phone are reportedly resistant to scratches and around 135 carat of sapphire has been used in the handset. Even the keys of the device are made from gold. There are only 30 pieces of the handset made so far and the number is engraved on the rear side. It is expected to be launched this month and will cost $50,000 per unit. [Via SlashGear]
