At a press conference held by Tech Mahindra yesterday, Vineet Nayar, vice chairman, MD and CEO, Tech Mahindra announced that the present CEO of Mahindra Satyam, CP Gurnani will take over as the new managing director of Tech Mahindra with immediate effect. However, Nayar will remain the vice chairman of the company.
"The board of Tech Mahindra has recommended CP Gurnani to be appointed as the managing director of Tech Mahindra. The appointment will take place soon after the necessary documentations are done," said Nayar.

Previously, CP Gurnani headed Tech Mahindra's global operations, sales and marketing functions, and led the development of the company's competency and solution units.
An active alumnus of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, he has held several leading positions with HCL Hewlett Packard Limited, Perot Systems (India) Limited and HCL Corporation Ltd in his career of over 28 years.
In 2007, Gurnani was nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award bestowed by Ernst & Young. |
